Marika Chikvashvili, DDS
Dr. Marika Chikvashvili grew up in Syosset, Long Island having moved from Georgia when she was a young child. She graduated from Fordham University at Lincoln Center with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences in 2007. Following her undergraduate studies, Marika earned her D.D.S degree in 2011 at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.
Passionate about dentistry, she furthered her education by completing a three-year Orthodontic Residency at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. During that time she did extensive research and was the recipient of the Leo Sreebny award for the best post-graduate research project for her work on Deviated Nasal Septums and their effect on the development of the jaws. Her residency program helped her gain extensive knowledge in all branches of orthodontics ranging from conventional braces and appliances, phase I treatment, Invisalign, surgical orthodontics, TADs, and treating cleft lip/palate patients.
Dr. Marika is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontics. She is a certified provider of Invisalign and 3M Incognito Lingual Braces.
In her spare time you can find her hiking, painting, or planning travels to explore a new part of the world.
